Girls Winner Anna Conroy (Midnight) - January 2008
I was very happy on winning the WSOP Girls All In Championship.  It was a pleasure to play with all of the women in the game.  I never dreamed of coming in first place.  I only play occasionally after I come home from a hard day at work and on the weekends to relax.

When I do get time to play,  I try to stay away from people who have "poker rage" and are constantly going "All In".  I like a nice friendly game with no cut throat playing.  My husband and I first heard of NLOP when we were playing the Milwaukee's Best Light site.  We then started playing at NLOP and have been playing there since.
Thank you for everything.

Anna Conroy

Girls Winner Elizabeth Falkenstein (WVRagdoll) - December 2007
We'd like to congratulate our December Girls All In Championship winner, Elizabeth Falkenstein (WVRagdoll) of Fairmont, WV!

"Thank you NLOP!  I am very excited to have won this tournament.  There were many great players and it was difficult and long.  My strategy was to play extremely conservative and honest, playing only high cards, high pairs and folding hands with low kickers.  I almost went bust three times during the game, but  a winning hand would give me just enough points to stay in the game.   My points were low throughout the entire game which made it impossible to play uncertain hands or chase after the flop.   I barely made it to the final table with a low chip count.  The blind was huge and I got a great hand which put me back in the game.  Continually maintaining conservative play helped me win this tournament along with some lucky hands at the end.

Around a year ago some friends told me about this site and sent me an email to start playing.  They have been giving me some really good advice on playing poker.  I had only played poker a few times with friends and never on the computer.  Growing up playing spades and hearts was fun but, I have really enjoyed this site. It also gives me something else to do while knitting.

There are so many good players and I am truly still just a novice, it would be hard to give much advice to other player to whom I am still learning from, but I will say this, FOLD, FOLD, FOLD! Don’t bluff  because someone usually has the cards to beat you." - WVRagdoll

Girls Winner Lois Piper (luielu) - October 2007
Congratulations to our girls all in WSOP Championship winner, Lois Piper (luielu), a NJ native that'll be battling it out with the best of the best at the 2008 WSOP!

"I enjoy playing this game on the computer but never played any poker with real playing card's in my life. It's just something that relaxes me and I have a lot of fun with it. I truly believe last night's game was a little skill and a whole lot of luck." - luielu

Ladies, login to NLOP and start qualifying now for the November Girls All In WSOP Championship. You could be next!

Girls Winner Patsy Scheirmann (patycake) - August 2007

I really had no paticular strategy when I won the Girls all in Championship.I just try to play good cards and take advantage of big blinds. As a matter of fact I was low chips many times and just got lucky and doubled up.Then it just went from there. So theres always a chance even if your low chips.I qualified Aug.1st in the qualifying tournament.I really didnt hear of NLOP.

I was watching poker on TV last year and seen the advertisement for playing on milbestlight,my husband and I started playing and when that finished NLOP started. My husband is a poker player from way back.Back before it was cool.We also play every week with friends and have for many years.I have played on other free sites, but since NLOP we only play NLOP.My advice to other players is the more you play the better you get.

Girls Winner Sharon Hanna (Pursalot) - April 2007

I have been playing for about 2 years.  What got me interested was watching the pros play on TV. Had never played poker but it looked like something I might enjoy doing.  Some friends and family were going up to a cabin in the mountains and told me they usually get a friendly game of poker going up there.  I said GREAT!  I want to learn.  I must have caught on quickly, because another lady and myself, wound up winning that evening.  I WAS HOOKED!  I went on line and found some places to practice for free and I played ALOT!  I also got a basic book on Texas Holdem and read everything I could find about it on line and in Poker Player and Card Player Magazine.  ALOT of good articles and information in these.  Learning about playing "position" and WHAT cards to play and more importantly, what cards NOT to play, made a major improvement to my game.

My husband and I go to Las Vegas a couple of times a year and we always played Blackjack.  The 1st time I played poker there, I won over $600.  Needless to say, I was thrilled and by now, addicted.  LOL  I've played at several card rooms and Indian Casinos in my area and play about once a month.  I'm still playing on my winnings so it is extra fun.  I've never deposited at any poker sites on line.My strategy for the tourney was to play very tight and only the best cards in the beginning until I built up my chip stack and then to play a little looser but more aggressive.  It also helped that I got ALOT of good pocket cards and caught cards on the flop and turn.My best advice is play tight, be aggressive when the cards call for it and DO NOT chase!

I LOVE THIS GAME

Girls Winner Angie McCambridge - March 2007

My strategy for this tournament was to relax, have fun and stick to my usual play, which you could say is a little on the tight side.

I was directed to NLOP after finishing up with the Milwaukee's Best Light tourny. My online playing experience is strictly with NLOP. I do though enjoy playing small cash games at home with family and friends as often as possible.

My advice to anyone who enjoys Texas Hold Em as much as I do would be to have fun and play as much as possible. The more you play the more you learn.

Girls Winner Talena Jess - February 2007

I had a lot of fun playing in the Womens Championship. It is kind of nice not having any men around (for once) but I have to admit that it is a lot different playing with only women. It is a little harder to read women than men..

I do not really play with a strategy. I play, however, the game requires as it progresses, but I will tell you I never pass up an opportunity to bet! My only advice to everyone is never show weakness. Always be the first to bet if given the chance.  I played the Girls All In qualifier one time and qualified for the championship, and could not wait for the tournament date to get here.

I heard about NLOP through a friend. She told me it was a free poker site, and, I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, but I am glad that I checked it out. It is my favorite site to play on. I used to play on other poker sites but now it's strictly NLOP. It's the absolute greatest! Thank you for having such a great site and giving everyone the chance to become a better poker player.
