NLOP Players finds himself headed for the WSOP*
April 27th, 2007
"PeteHayes" from Agawam, MA, an avid NLOP player, found himself headed for the World Series of Poker when he won the Vegas or Bust Weekly Championship on NLOP. Here's what Peter had to say about poker and NLOP:
I used to play on other on-line poker sites until a friend of mine turned me on to NLOP. NLOP is an awesome site and I have deleted all the other sites off my computer. Playing on the internet is totally different than playing live at the casino, but I do play as much as possible at home on the NLOP website.
My playing style switches due to many different scenarios. It depends on the amount of players, my chip stack, other players chip stacks and the type of players at my table. I also switch gears all the time to keep the opposition off guard. I do not bluff much on-line because it is tough to get players to fold. I do frequently play at two of my local casinos Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, which are just about an hour away from me in Connecticut.
I have been playing poker on-line and at casinos for all of my life. I love the game and I am continually picking up experience as I play. I don't feel that I am good enough to be giving out advice, but if I had to tell the internet poker players one thing it would be to "not stay in a hand with absolutely nothing, hoping to hit the lucky card on the river" and also to watch the pros play on television.
